(yarn) Party time! Excellent!

Party time!

It's been a suuuuuper long time since I've hosted a link party here, but I decided the return of the awesomest yarn series ever warranted a special celebration!!
 photo 7fdc2159-fc47-4aac-a1ca-2276bf8f6561_zps9431643e.jpg

I do hope you'll help me spread the word and link up your own projects.  Remember, they can be absolutely anything to do with yarn - kids crafts, wreaths, decor, paper crafts, crochet, knitting, sewing bags to hold your crocheting and knitting, wrapping stuff up, games, tips and tricks, clever ideas and uses, yarn storage,  how to untangle it... you get the idea.  We're pretty loose.  Yarn just has to be involved somehow.

So.
1. Link up (yarn) projects.
2. Link back (you can use the button for your convenience!)  Share it on the project post or on your blog somewhere.
3. Spread the word!
<a href="http://bugaboominimrme.blogspot.com/"><img src="http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/kbmueller/Beautifying%20Blog%20Pictures/45ceecd2-dea5-4749-80f7-5602828d862d_zps7dcabd87.jpg"/></center>

Visit others.  Talk amongst yourselves.  Mingle.  Eat snacks.  (Sorry, snacks not provided...)

The link party will run from March 30th - April 19th, the entire duration of the series, in order to give you all time to link up.

I can't wait to see your yarn projects!  Oh, and feature some too!

A few things:
1.  Link to the post, not your main blog URL
2.  You don't have to follow me and Shannon - but it would be nice! - but you DO have to put the button somewhere on your blog.  Thanks!
3.  Link as many as you want!  Keep them coming!
4.  Link party will end on Friday the 23rd, with features the following Sunday!

pinteresting parties

Um, I feel like a big dope.  Remember all that talk about the month long "pinteresting party" and how I'd feature links on the last Thursday of every month?  (if you're thinking, "what is that girl BABBLING about?" you can read details here.)  So.  The last Thursday of February came and went and did you see a feature post?  No!  No, you did not.  Well, I'm killing two birds with my post this Thursday.  First up, some of my favorite links from the "Very Pinteresting Party - first edition."

Um, gorgeous?!
This is why Kimbo is my idol.

I swear I had the barbie version of this when I was a kid.  Though this is way cooler.

Here's a button for those featured!

<center><a href="http://bugaboominimrme.blogspot.com/"><img src=" http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/kbmueller/lzZxBU-1.jpg" /></center>

And thanks to all who linked!  Be sure to link again for March's "Very Pinteresting" party!  (All the info and the link party are at the bottom of this post!)

NOW, on to the PARTY side of things.  I thought I'd share my five most very favorite party related pins for "very pinteresting" today, you know, considering it's "party week."

This was on Martha as a birthday idea, but don't you think it would be cute for a wedding anniversary?

I love this.  It's like all those adorable rainbow parties you see floating around for kids, but all grown up now, you know?  You can see the details at Rue Magazine.

I have a TON of lego party ideas pinned.  Probably because I know that between bug and his father, a lego party is inevitable.  This is only one of the many BRILLIANT ideas for lego parties.  It's the invite that Mary Janes and Galoshes sent out for her kid's party.

Probably my favorite themed baby shower ever - the Storybook Shower.  Carrie did an awesome version on The Rowdy Strowdy's.

How great is this idea to weight your balloons over on The Pleated Poppy?  You don't have to buy helium balloons or one of those overpriced tanks!  I'm stealing this for sure.

Oh, the genius that abounds!

Now I'm declaring March's "Very Pinteresting Party" open!

I ask only two things from you:
1.  Link to the POST, not your main page.  I want to be able to find your incredible projects.
2.  Put my button somewhere.  Anywhere.  Invite everyone to come.  A party's more fun with more people!

Optional, but encouraged:
Follow along, over there with GFC!  The more the merrier!
And check out some other projects!

PAR-TAY party!

Guess what.  It's only day one of party week and I've already extended the party.  Yea!  I got an overwhelming response to my plea for party planning help from some of my favorite blogging friends that I realized I couldn't smoosh it all into just one week.  It wouldn't do them justice, and you readers would suffer for it because you wouldn't get to read all the awesome insight and advice I've collected!  SO.  It's actually going to be "Party TWO Weeks" - but I'm not going to change the button.  I like it.

With that said I would like to declare this party officially started.

So here you go!  Link 'em up, peeps!  We're talking party theme ideas, party photos, party printables, party ideas, tips, menus, decor, pinspirations - WHATEVER!  It's a Party Link Party!
1.  Grab the party button or the bugaboo button on the sidebar and post it on your blog... then share a link or ten!
2.  The Party party will end on Saturday March 10th at 8:00 pm.  I'll pick some of my favorite links to feature on Sunday the 11th.
3.  Spread the word!  Let's get some inspiration going!

Pinteresting Party - Valentine's Edition

Hello!  And welcome to another edition of:

Usually this is where I'd share a few of my favorite pins from the past week... because we all know I'm a pin addict.  However, since my "to do's" for the pinteresting party this month were all Valentine's Day related, I thought I'd go ahead and share them NOW, since Valentine's Day is right around the corner.  I'm trying to be timely, here, people.  Unlike... well, unlike normal.

Let me show you around the bugaboo household these past few weeks, shall I?
First off.  I pinned this idea, thinking that it was easy AND adorable and you can't beat that, right?

Source: tiffkeetch.blogspot.com via Kimberly on Pinterest

I already had bug's Valentine's for school all planned out, so I thought maybe I'd get to them next year.  BUT, one cold day we had nothing to do.  So I whipped out the scrapbook paper, markers and tape and we went to town.

And when we were finished, K, bug and mini had three sets each of stretched out hand Valentines.

We made the middle accordion part extra long because it made bug laugh.

Who will we be giving these to, you ask?  You'll just have to wait and see if it's YOU.

Next up, the Valentines bug and I planned to do for his class.  I know for a fact you've seen these guys floating around:

Source: zakkalife.blogspot.com via Kimberly on Pinterest

They're so super, they're everywhere!  I pinned these in early January, knowing full well they were perfect for the 3K class.

I wanted to print them out on patterned scrapbook paper, so I didn't use the template from the original source, since hers were in color.  (Please ignore my ghetto hole punches)

I just made my own template for the capes and masks using pages.  Here are my blank capes, in case anyone wants to go that route.  (right click to download, you should be able to resize)

I had bug write his own name on all of them and we tried to have him write his friend's names, too, but gave up on that plan.

I'm in love with them.  Especially this one.

And finally, another idea you've seen all over, the pencil Valentine.

Source: familyfun.go.com via Kimberly on Pinterest

I figured bug's teachers might not appreciate tootsie pops as much as the kids, and pencils seemed perfect, right?  Plus I got a bunch of super cute Valentine pencils in the dollar section at Target.  I kind of wanted to keep them, they're so cute.

So I designed these little tags that say, "Teacher, You're al"WRITE"!"  You have to say it with the right inflection though, or it seems like an insult.  Think Tony the Tiger, but saying "alright" instead of "grrrrreat".  You know, "you're ALright!" (said with your voice going up at the end) Not, "you're alRIGHT..."  (said with your voice going DOWN at the end)
Anyway... we just tied the tags to the pencils with Valentine ribbon.  bug has 5 teachers/aids at school.

And these are for bug and mini's teachers at church.

I think this tag is my favorite.  Look at that smiley face heart!

Want some tags?  Well, ok.  Free for you to print!  (the top versions say "Valentine" instead of teacher, in case you aren't giving them to teachers)

Phew.  That's a lot of Pinspiration.

And THAT, my friends (among various other Valentine broo-ha-ha) is what's been happening around here lately.

Now, what about you??  I can't WAIT to see your pinteresting projects!

I ask only two things from you:
1.  Link to the POST, not your main page.  I want to be able to find your incredible projects.
2.  Put my button somewhere.  Anywhere.  Invite everyone to come.  A party's more fun with more people!
