Gift for the mr

So, I'm sure by now you're familiar with Martha Stewart's felt fortune cookies.

I love them.  A lot.  Inexplicable, I know.  I also knew that mr probably wouldn't appreciate their super cute craftiness if all I did was make a bunch and stuff a little "I love you" tag in there with some chocolate.  I mean, he's great and all, but a nod is considered "super great job!" when it comes to one of my projects...

So I decided to spice it up for Valentine's Day.  I turned it into a game.  These felt cookies are so easy to make - with felt circles, floral wire and hot glue, that you can make like 52 of them, which is what I did.  Then I used this font:

Chinese Takeaway

(which you can get here for free)  to create the tags.  Each fortune had something fun to do on it - romantic and otherwise.  Throw them all in a take-out box from the Target dollar section, add a die, and label it and you have:

The fortune Cookie Game.  Anytime we want to play - usually date nights, I'd assume - he rolls the die and that's how many fortune cookies he gets to open.

I won't bore you by listing all of the "fortunes" but some of them are as follows:

the fun begins right when you get home tomorrow!
(Which means we'll arrange a sitter and start our date as soon as he gets home for a super long date!  Yea!)

You will receive a massage
(Is it bad that I don't know if he even likes massages?)

The one you love will give you a sweet treat
(I may have to think fast if we have no sweets around the house...)

And there are fortunes that are to MY benefit too.  (Basically the same ones, but with my name instead of "You".)  I tried to write all of them like actual fortunes sound.

The label on the game says:  "The Fortune Cookie Game... What does love have in store for you tonight?"  And although there's no picture of it, the side of the box lists the contents:

52 fortunes
1 die
Lots o' love

Just the right amount of cheesiness.
