Spring cleaning

When I first started this blog, and my new hobbies of sewing and repurposing/upcycling clothing etc., I had a small, orderly area set aside in my basement for crafts.  I bought a gross old desk (remember how I tried to "fix" it?) and started collecting items for repurposing in a laundry basket.  A faded t-shirt here, a shrunken sweater there, those jeans I wore two babies ago... and suddenly, I couldn't break myself of the habit.  I find myself thinking, well, I can't throw this plastic milk carton away, I could make it into something cool, couldn't I?  I have no idea WHAT, but it will come to me.  I have scraps of fabric, old flip-flops, paper towel rolls, shirts, sweaters, sweatshirts, sweatpants, tulle, buttons, old bracelets, curtains, sheets... the list goes on and on.  My laundry basket looks like this:

It is growing by leaps and bounds, and the monstrosity is taking over my basement.  I have bags of things to recycle all over the place.  Shoeboxes piled up haphazardly, tissue paper sticking out of corners, three large tubs with bits and pieces, cardboard boxes full of adds and ends... it's making me crazy!!!  What do I do?

Spring cleaning time.

Along with spring cleaning my basement area, which needs a bit of an upgrade with a few more storage bins, I think, I have decided to "spring clean" my blog.  That's right, I'm trying a few upgrades.  On the laundry list of things I am NOT savvy with, anything computer oriented or technical is listed first, in bold.  So, I'm asking you to bear with me as I make a few changes.  And let me know if something looks all weird, because chances are I did the html wrong...

Awesome...I love your header. Super cute. Is that a font that you found or did you write that out yourself?
