So, it's been a while...

Do you know how long it's been since I participated in a Scavenger Hunt Sunday??  About three point four BAZILLION years!

(mr likes to correct me as to the proper order of magnitude I should be using.  It happens a lot because I am prone to exaggeration.)

But it feels like that long.

So I'm jumping in the saddle again!  Or, trying to.

So, here's this week's hunt!

Things that look like a letter of the alphabet
I thought I'd be showing off my animal shots this week, but this is the only one I'm using.  You know you can expect more to come, then.  It looks like mini is running away in a panic, but actually she's really, really mad at my mom for not letting her climb in the cage with the gigantic birds of prey.  Ok, maybe they aren't birds of prey, but I hate birds.  Oh, and by the way, did you notice their necks look like an S?

Weather
We'll come back to this one...

Bling
This guy was strutting around the zoo showing off his bling with a fun little dance.  You could get so very close to them, it was pretty cool.  Did I mention this shot is SOOC!!!!

Tangled
The twigs tangled up; the spider web tangled up; and everything all tangled up with the rain.

Dark
It was cool and dark under the trees in the hammock... and you could see what lay just beyond the leaves (sunburn) - love the contrast.

Alright, back to weather.  For some reason I've been spending a lot of time snapping the sky lately.  I caught a few cloudy weather shots that I really liked and just couldn't decide, so I'm putting them all up in a kind of "Weather Series."

These were the coolest little dollops of clouds I've ever seen.  This was right after a storm and it's also SOOC, which I was excited about.

This was the same sunset, I just liked all the cloud patterns in the distance.

This was watching a big storm roll in. (Literally like two seconds after I took this we had to run for our lives...)

There were lots of huge clouds in the sky, and the sun was breaking through this one.  It's the first time I've seen such a dramatic silver lining.  The photo doesn't do it justice.

And now, just for the random heck of it, a gratuitous picture of the kids.

Because how could you resist posting that?  All wiped out during fourth of July festivities.

  8. You caught some pretty amazing weather shots there, holy man!

Those little red dollop clouds would have put the fear o' God in me. They don't look natural. You know, like end of the world or aliens are coming-type unnatural...
