Yep. Depressed. Like I've been chewing mr's ear off about it since Thursday, when I knew I was going down.
Poor mr.
But, don't worry. I'm not going to cry. (anymore.) Just kidding. I didn't really cry. (maybe.)
No, no, I'll just whine in my head a little more, and accuse you all of not recognizing seriously cute mommy and me outfits when you see them.
do you love her banana? That's the only way I could get her in front of the camera. |
(Well, first off, I had a break from life this weekend - and at the awesomest conference I've ever attended, too, which is affiliated with though not actually put on by the church I attend and was called "Time Out for Women." I needed to go because lately, I've deserved a great many trips to the corner. Thankfully, I'm the mom, so I refused to send myself. Until this weekend...)
I digress.
I will also forgive you because did you SEE the amazingly awesome stuff over there last week? I loved them all, but especially the Little Man Diaper Clutch, the Activity Binder, and the Wall Art (who doesn't swoon for Mr. Darcy?).
So, with stiff competition like that? Well, fine then. I'm resigned.
I've got to say, that with all the chaos around here (no, it's not finished yet, thank you very much) it's probably a good thing I'm toast. Now I can put our life back together. And work on a zillion other things I've been meaning to finish.
me. Reveling in my new fluffy carpet. |
from way back on Dollar Store Week and
this Spring Skirt Combo (Each skirt can be worn THREE WAYS!):
which you all will be forced to pretend you like. Yes, that's right. Forced.
And I will also give you a PARTIAL tutorial from my knock-off project, which of course I can share with you already since it's not in this week's round:
The inspiration bag is from Downeast. |
I also have some other things up my sleeve concurrently - including something Eastery, and a few birthday presents I'd like to show off.
In conclusion:
Go vote at SYTYC, even though I'm not there anymore...
and stay tuned for some tuts. Whether you like it or not.
*Be sure to check just below for all the fun parties I link to!
Your skirts were in my top 3 - I was shocked to see you at the bottom! And I love your knock-off - probably would have had my vote -- great job!
ReplyDeleteBTW- I did not know it at the time, but I voted for you! I can not beleive you were voted off. That is OK because I just loved your skirts.
ReplyDeleteWaaaaah! So sad you're not going on in the competish. I LOVE the skirts. But it is obvious you have more than enough to keep you busy or insanely busy into the foreseeable future, so I am not really worried you will sink into a decline and stop crafting. Your conference getaway sounds wonderful, glad you got to do that!
ReplyDeleteOh man I couldn't believe you got voted off either! I've loved all of your stuff and think your bag for the knock-off was rockin' too! I am glad I found your blog through the competition, can't wait to see what you keep coming up with! :)
ReplyDeleteAwww...i haz the sadz (and that is as close to an lol at as you will ever see me)
ReplyDeletewho will trade witty craft related barbs with me now? Wherever shall I find a new SYTYC arch-nemesis???
:(
your knockoff was awesome too. life is just so unfair sometimes.
I was sad to see you go too! Your outfit combo was super cute. I really like the fun you added with the zebra print.
ReplyDeleteAnd, your knock off is cute!
