Oops... The REAL ATW party. Numero Dos. Take two.

SO SORRY EVERYONE!!  The linky party is now on!!  Come by and link up!

Thank you to everyone who linked to my snapshot party last week!  I was so excited to look through everyone's pictures.  They were AWESOME.  Please keep spreading the word and partying with me, because I guarantee a good time.  Really.

First, I'd like to share a few favorites from last week's party.  This was seriously difficult.  I told myself I would only choose 3, because I knew if I didn't set a limit ahead of time, I'd just choose EVERYONE'S pictures... Then I looked through the shots, and I really could be featuring any one of them here.  So, if you haven't, definitely go over and check out all the links.  You won't be disappointed.

"Welcome to the Jungle"

I love the perspective and angle.  I love the idea, too... I mean, who DOESN'T think that high school is a jungle?  Right?  It also conjured images of Mean Girls - a movie I seriously love.  (Lindsey Lohan, leaping across the cafeteria table like a lion...)

(Unrelated, you have to read the story behind the blog name.  Hee hee!)  What I like most about this photo is the depth of field.  I love the blurry grass in the front while everything else is in focus.  It's also just a little raw and grainy feeling, kind of journalistic in approach.  And really, isn't that whole "stalking cat" thing perfect?

Plain and simple, this is just breathtaking.  Wow.  Plus, a different take on the title, which I like.  It's an urban jungle, you see.

And now,  on to this week's party!

This weeks title was "It's Still Up in the Air."

Here's my interpretation:

I had planned on using something completely different, but when the opportunity presented itself for this triptych, I couldn't resist:

And, just for fun, here's the one I thought I was going to use:

Now it's your turn!  Here's the dress code:
1.  Link as many photos as you like - you can put them in one post and link once or put them all in separate posts an link them all.  It's up to you.
2.  You are strongly encouraged to use the title as a prompt for snapshots this week.  However, if you can't, you can't.  Linking up archived photos will NOT be frowned upon.
2.  You don't need to follow me, but you do need to display the "a thousand words." button proudly.  Wherever.
3.  Visit loads of people and comment.
4.  By linking up you're giving me permission to include your linked photo in any features I do in the future.  I will never link to your other photos, just the one you put in the linky.
5.  Be sure to come back next week!

We did have one (very good) question last week - Do they need to be photos taken THIS week?
Answer:  I strongly encourage you to use the title as a prompt for some snapshots THIS WEEK.  BUT, I'm not going to be a stickler at all.  Sometimes you just can't.  If you've got something in the archives that fits, join in the party!  Better an old photo than no photo at all!

Next weeks title: "A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned."
Check back to link your versions, see my version
and view the features from this weeks linky.

This party goes from Sunday morning until Tuesday night.

If you have ideas for future titles, please leave a comment or shoot me an email.  Thanks!

  1. Argh..where did the week go? I had great plans of putting something pink & blue together, since it was "still up in the air" about what we're having & if we're even going to find out. Maybe I can do something tonight still.

Love the kitty photo from last week!
