Bonus Yarn Stuff

Are you loving all the yarn goodness this week?  If you haven't checked out the projects in the "Yarn it all!" linky party, you really should.  We've got some serious talent there, people.  Tons of good ideas!

And, I thought since you probably weren't getting enough yarn inspiration, I'd throw a little more at you. That's right.  Get ready for a good old Yarn it all roundup!  Today's roundup is dedicated to yarn projects for kids.

Crafty Yarn Stuffs for Little Hands
1.  Yarn Jar; Elmer's Glue Site - Make a mason jar new again!  Good for votive holders if you use small baby food jars.
2.  PomPom Critters; There's a Dragon in my Art Room - Akin to the little buddy I made for mini, no?
3.  Catrerpillar Bookmark; Witty Living - What a cute and simple idea!
4.  Ojo de Dios; Creative Jewish Mom - A new twist on a golden oldie.
5.  Yarn branches; Leethal - A very simple craft for yarn scraps that adds some whimsy to a room.
6.  Sandpaper Craft; Polwig.com - AWESOME idea to keep little hands busy.  How about taking this in the car or to the dr.'s office?

Crafty Kid Decor, etc.
1.  Carrots; Homework, etc. - You've seen these everywhere lately, but I couldn't leave them out.  How adorable are they?
2.  Yarn Fruit; picture source unknown, but you can find a tutorial for
Yarn apples; Make and Takes - Since we're talking yarn food, why not some yarn fruit?  So easy and cute.
3.  Yarn Leaf Mobile; Two Shades of Pink - Simply put, I love this.  A simple, fun, whimsical mobile perfect for a play room or nursery.
4.  Photo Web; C.R.A.F.T. - Wouldn't this be a great way to display your little one's treasured snapshots, drawings and birthday cards?
5.  Yarn Initial; Everyday is a Celebration - I can picture this nestled in a nursery, looking so very soft and cozy.
6.  Yarn Wrapped Hearts; Family Chic - A fun and easy ornament for any time.  Think about the possibilities with shapes!

If you are any of the people above, I'd love it if you'd grab a featured button!

  1. thanks for the button fix! I also put up a new post today with a loud and clear shout out to your blog and the one over at Mandipity! I love your creativity.....seems like a lot of blogland has the same stuff over and over again....and it is hard to be fresh with yarn, isn't it? But you two seem to do it!

  2. I love that yarn initial! Also - I totally forget that people outside of Canada don't call them toques! In the prairie provinces hoodies are also know as bunny hugs!
