snow, snow, go away...

We got our first official winter storm.  And now it's freezing (like 26 below)  If you are one of those people who just asked, "below what?!?" meaning you live in Florida, I may not be speaking to you anymore.  Every year it takes less time for me to get sick of winter.  Usually I make it until February, though, at least. Last year it was the end of January.  This year I didn't even make it to Christmas.  It's going to be a looooong, cold season until May.

I know it's pretty, and I know Christmas without snow wouldn't seem like Christmas, but it's too blasted cold.

And along with all this completely senseless complaining, I have some photos for you.  Phew, right?

Here's my scavenger hunt.  Go to Ramblings and Photos for more.

Holiday Colors
something I will show you how to make later this week!

Christmas stars always reming me of what this season is really about.  We've got a bunch on the tree.  Sometimes I need a  lot of reminding.

The results of the storm, and our tree through the window.  This photo does not do justice to the drifts outside our door.

Quiet

(which is also my photo for Trendy Treehouse: theme "dreaming")

ShutterLoveTuesdays
on Monday, mini fell asleep on the way to go grocery shopping.  She stayed like this, quiet and peaceful, despite the noise around her for the better part of the trip.  When she woke up, she was very confused.  Usually she's not such a sound sleeper!

My favorite color
it's kind of hard to find my favorite color this time of year, so this is an archived shot from our last trip to the park in November.  The park will be difficult to visit for a while...

And for your amusement, here is a picture of bug "helping" mr shovel:

while mini and I chilax in the house with a snack.

Ahhhhhh.....

  3. I don't want to live where you live. I thought our temps were cold. We can get below zero, but not this early in the season.
Your pictures were great. I love the first picture, the colors are so beautiful and I love the texture on the ornaments.

  4. Just blown away by your fabulous photos. Have to admit I live in sunny Singapore so we're enjoying balmy (if slightly rainy) weather now.
